Cured “Ocean Pearls” are produced by our premium Norwegian Fjord Trout supplier, Firda. It is an easy and delicious addition to many dishes. From Danish-style open face sandwiches to Japanese donburi bowls, trout roe is easy to use with great results.

Buena Vista Seafood is offering expertly cured Ocean Pearls in easy 500g tubs. Perfect for fresh toppings and garnishes in foodservice, the 500g tub is practical so chefs can always have it on hand.

Firda is a vertically integrated Fjord Trout farm that is ASC and Global GAP certified.

Cured Fjord Trout roe can be used in many types of cuisine. From European to Japanese, there are limitless ways to enjoy salmon roe.

- on a simple rice bowl sprinkled with sesame, slivered nori and a bit of clear broth - on a sushi rolls (nigiri or hand rolls)
- cold buckwheat (soba) noodles with broth and thin sliced onion
- on a toast garnished with hard boiled egg, dill and sour cream

- on potato fritters/potato cakes with sour cream
- on toasts with smoked salmon or smoked whitefish salad, cucumbers
- garnishing deviled eggs
- on top of eggs Benedict for brunch
- on a flatbread/thin crust “pizza” with red onion, creme fraiche and chives - tossed with linguini with fresh herbs
